Didn't Brees throw for over 400 on them in the playoffs?

Yes, but that was due to our running game being non existent.
Still, incredible of Brees. They knew he was throwing basically every time.

Alex Smith has been outstanding as of late, Dunc.

His completion % has been sky high. Only 2 incompletions over the last 2 games for him.

They will definitely use Kaepernick in the game though, bank on that.

How are these guys getting so wide open? This looks like back yard football.

He's a game manager at best. This Kaepernick kid looks like he could actually go out and win games for you and not just play not to lose...like your boy Alex.

San Fran has to have the top one/two QB nose tandem in the NFL.

Keep in mind, as unstoppable as they've looked this game, they'll probably finish with around 30-34 points. We usually expect our D to give that much up anyway. If Brees can get us to 35 points we'll win this game

Think about RG3 week one: there's really no film on the guy. It's a huge advantage.

ends play wide=eventually opens blitzing lanes
replace the weak lber with harper
slide jenkins down to strong/bump & cover vernon davis
bring the next best safety of the bench to play free safety

even when flushed out of the pocket, he doesn't lose his cool and is strong enough to stiff arm off linebackers and fight for yards. We'll see....

Like I stated early in the thread, the Bears were not prepared for Kapernick. There wasn't any film on him. That doesn't take away from his impressive performance, but we will not be caught off guard as there were, and we WILL have an offense to help the defense out.

I don't like the ends playing wide part, but I do like Jenkins on Davis. I even like Quddus playing free. I don't, under any circumstances whatsoever, want Roman Harper covering Walker or Davis up the seam.

I don't know how viable this is because it didn't look like they ran a whole lot of option and whatnot. It seemed like they ran the same offense as if Smith was in there. If anything it just looked a little more aggressive. Hopefully Spags can get a good gameplan together Bc I guarantee they will run Kapernick on us
