You are confused because it was a one handed catch.
If instead it was 2 hands and a chest and the ball was clearly secure you’d probably have a different opinion.

If what you are saying is correct, then it’s a bad rule.
A one hand catch with one foot down is ball security
The ball touching your hand with one foot touching is not ball security
Please let’s use some common sense
Does anybody really think the ball touching the hand while the foot touches the ground for a millisecond is ball security
The first foot comes up in that millisecond
