If the Saints move on from Carr, should they make a run at Justin Fields, he seems to be the type of quarterback that Kellen Moore is used to.
I think this is a weak qb class and would rather wait and draft one next year.

Then why do you want Fields over Rattler? To win more meaningless games in order to get a worse draft pick?

If Saints move from Carr I would think anything with a pulse is on the table, short term or long.

Coaches and players want to win every year. There is no such thing as tank years in an org. Stupid to think there is.

I’d rather have rattler. We KNOW fields can’t pass even with a starting o line and some talent at WR.

I always thought Fields would be better in a dome setting. The Falcons took a long look, did the diligence and passed (signed Cousins).

I don’t even know if he does that.

Somebody posted a video with a guy discussing nfl front offices actually thinking rattler showed some thing’s sans o line and weapons last year. If we’re not drafting anyone, I’d just assume REALLY see what we have. Carr isn’t the guy going forward past a year or so. Let’s see what we have.

They need to not go and spend money. Roll with Rattler.

I’m fine with him as a one or two year bridge QB but we have a similar player in Rattler already here. It’s clear now that Haener will only be a borderline backup QB or #3 emergency QB. He just doesn’t have the arm or size. Brees got by because he was so smart and prepared like no one else and he was deadly accurate which helped cover up Drew’s weak arm.

I remember some people saying Jalen Hurst was terrible passer and would never make a good quarterback, I'm ok with Rattler, but most new coaches like to bring in or get their own guy.

Any coach playing to lose, whether it's smart or not, will not have stable careers. When a coach talks about establishing a winning culture, that's part of it. Look at teams who have top draft picks every year, it doesn't necessarily translate to success.

I didn't say otherwise. Coaches and players should be trying to win every game. The front office, though, has to look at the big picture and think longer term. That's why signing Justin Fields would be dumb.

If fields can’t pass for shite as a first round pick with as many collegiate and pro games under his belt, it’s extremely unlikely to ever happen. It’s not a development issue, he just sucks. Throwing money at him is the opposite of what this roster needs to do
