First off I am going to say that I am a Spag's supporter and I truly feel the defense will get better. The defense showed improvement considering Vilma missed 6 games and he took about a month to get past preseason shape.
Now for all those who have been putting out possible replacements at DC in case Spags were to be fired. How interesting would it be to entertain the thought of Haslett as defensive coordinator?

Haslett would have the same problem... no playmakers. Spags needs players.

Spags isn't going to get fired so it's a mute point. Give him one more season and then we'll see.

He didn't go back to Denver as a coordinator and he wasn't head coach of New England.
That's like Lovie Smith going to be the DC for the Bears, Mike Martz going to be the OC for the Rams or Mike Singletary going to be DC for the 49ers.
