This would be the definition of a risk-reward pick. Minus the injuries, Gresham is a top 10 talent. He's by far the best TE and the gap is bigger than at any other position in the draft.
Like some have said, the TE is a huge part of our offense and we struggled without Shockey. Also, Thomas is a great 2nd TE when people are focusing elsewhere but he's not a go-to guy. I'd be worried about taking one another injury-prone TE but make no mistake about it, if he stays healthy, Gresham will have an all-time career.
