He was accused of multiple sex crimes when he was younger. Accused of sexual assault during his high school/ college years by a young girl and also accused later on of groping a female Uber driver while with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He’s not white, Catholic, or a member of the clergy though, and so the media has deemed those sins forgivable and attributable to just being young and immature.
I wish rape accusers wouldn't settle, because it leaves me to question the integrity of the alllegation. From my understanding she was drinking which also makes me wonder if it was a drunken regret after the fact. If not then it is a terrible thing and shouldn't be forgiven as you mentioned, but I have doubts when it's settled and alcohol was involved. Does not make rape okay.
As far as the other girl goes she said it wasn't rape and that she never even said no. She only had a moral issue about it after the other girl accused him of rape, so she thought she'd say something.

The average person’s IQ in our country is not that high so maybe that explains the strange, unwarranted admiration of Jameis Winston.
