Ok I apologize Drunkboy, the Jets had to settle on Aaron fricking Rodgers because we outbid them for Carr. And Carolina also would've saved their #1 overall pick had they been given a chance to sign Derek.
The all-knowing sports media has never misreported hearsay a day in their life to get clicks $$$. I have been proven wrong!!!

Im not reading all that. The point of this thread is Derek Carr sucks. Jameis also sucks but at least he is a backup who sucks and he put a few points on the board. Stop taking everything so literal and highjacking threads.

Fair point, but also look at that playcalling in the 2nd half of the Green Bay game, that was horrible.

We have 2 problems, both equally to blame. Carmichael and his ill timed playcalling and Carr's inability to read the defense to anticipate the open WR. Both are the main reasons we struggle to score more than 20 points a game.

Due to that, at this point, during this bye week I would make the switch to Jamies! He does take risks but at least he gives us a chance to put points on the board.

Jamies 1st INT last week was on a 3rd & 3, with a blitzer crashing on him, on a deep route, basically a punt. I have no issue with that one. Only thing you could argue would be if Allen would have communicated to him "if it's not there chuck it out of bounds because we'll go for it on 4th" and I seriously doubt Carmichael/Allen thought that far ahead to tell him that. Even with that the free blitzer would have made that hard to do without getting an intentional grounding call.

Jamies 2nd INT was ABSOULUTELY STUPID! He did slip a little when making the throw, but that's irrelevant because it was terrible decision to throw that into triple coverage at that point in the game. Zero excuses for him on that one

After watching some of the All22 film from the Vikings game it showed the same as others have revealed during the season which is A) Carr being a statue in the pocket often B) Not trusting protection even when it was good and being too quick to check down before downfield WRs are even finished running there routes C) Never looks off a safety or corner. This is what Brees did so well knowing the seem route would be open over the LB he could look off the over the top S by focusing on the outside WR then quickly turning and leading the seem route open. Carr does not fricking do this at all.

that would imply that there has been good playcalling.
