You may not but it's very prevalent here. I love LSU too but a lot can happen in a year. It is not even remotely close to a lock that Nuss will even be a first round pick. The QB class next year "looks great now" but things can change. NFL teams aren't going to make a decision on the team based on the off chance that they may have a pick that has a QB available they like next year.

Again, that was never my argument. I'm not arguing that we should wait to take a QB next year, I'm arguing that Milroe aint the guy we need. The guy is not good and I watched a ton of Bama games this past year. He had more games where he threw for less than 200 yards than games where he broke 300 yards. 11 picks in 13 games. He wasn't good. He isn't consistent. He's not particularly accurate. He doesn't throw with touch. He's fast and can throw far, that's about it.

Fair enough position.

Here's my only thing with Milroe..he DOES have a lot of upside obviously due to the athletic talent. If they take him my hope is there's a plan there with Moore to develop him.

Maybe that's part of my opinion here is that I'm sick of this organization and "upside." I'm sick of the Penning, Davenport, Turner, Foskey type picks at least in the early rounds. If you want to take a guy with upside, great, I'm all for it. But pick him in the 5th and after. Quit burning top end of the draft picks on guys who weren't all that great in college but "we think we can fix him." Hell, half the time, we've let guys walk and they've been better elsewhere. I just think picking Milroe because he can run fast and throw far but doesn't do anything else particularly well on the hope that maybe Kellen Moore will have the magic fairy dust to unlock him is such a frustratingly Saints-like thing to do.

This is exactly what you do boss. You present all these radical opinions as fact.

I'm one of the few who use links to back up my points. You never do so.

The draft is my favorite thing about the NFL, I consume draft content year round.

You think you are the only one who does this? Secondly, most of takes are wrong on these subjects & have been for years. Sounds like you don't consume enough draft information or maybe you should just give it up.

You are doing what every other loser LSU fan does on this board and basing your entire position on this topic on the outside chance that the Saints draft Nussmeier.

Only a loser would bring up Nuss in a thread where up until then, his name wasn't even mentioned. Cade Klubnik, Eli Holstein, Drew Allar, Carson Beck, Nico Iamaleava, LaNorris Sellers, John Mateer, Nuss & possibly Arch Manning. You went full retard instantly about Nuss without even realizing just how deep next year's class will be.

We’re going to need a replacement for Taysom Hill and he would fit that role perfectly.

This was never going to happen.

quote:

During a Super Bowl week interview with PFT Live, Jalen Milroe made it clear that he has no desire to play anything but quarterback. As he said, “You never ask a zebra to be a dog.”

After Milroe joined the Seahawks via round three, coach Mike McDonald made it clear that Milroe is a quarterback first and a quarterback only.

The question arose from the fact that new offensive coordinator Klink Kubiak comes from a year in New Orleans, where Taysom Hill has contributed in various capacities in recent years.

“The way they used him was more in a tight end-fullback hybrid role, sometimes taking snaps,” Macdonald told reporters. “Jalen is a quarterback through and through. He’s going to be trained to play quarterback for us. When he’s in there, he’s going to be playing quarterback.
