Time to quit all the bitching and moaning. loomis will hire KMoore as coach.
He might not be our #1 choice, but he checks most of the boxes:
Offensive coach
Young up and comer
Creative offense
Brings a system a young rpo type qb will like (I’m assuming Carr is gooooone)
Yes the cap situation sucks and, even with a hit draft, the Saints will likely suck to 3-4 wins next year. But the future looks bright after that. If KM is legit, Mickey saved his job. If not, the whole damn bunch will be gone in 3 years.

Actually really like the hire given the current state of our cap and roster. Not really the coach I’m worried about.

I mean I think he’s going to be fines as a play caller and do a decent job. He’s just coming into a dogshit situation for a few years with an old roster, strapped cap, and aging average qb. Still so young though. He has time.

Moore is gonna negotiate maximum access.
I hate Mickey as much as the next guy. But Moore will negotiate to be able to run the show for 3-5 years.
Loomis has no choice but to let go.

So like the whole bunch was fired after Dennis Allen flamed out?
I’ll believe Loomis is gone when he’s actually gone. I don’t have any faith he’d be canned if the new head coach doesn’t work out because he should have been fired this year. Allen’s failure should have cost Loomis his job and because he was a petulant bitch about Allen’s firing.
An owner who has any guts and/or isn’t compromised would have fired Loomis as soon as he made it clear he was against firing Allen.

No of course they weren’t. Because Smackin Mickey is still living off his successes from the Payton years. He’s hired 2 coaches: a HOF guy and a proven loser, who surprise surprise, lost.

Carr kind of reminds me of Jim Everett’s time with the Saints.
He was an older but still competent quarterback on a pretty bad team. Maligned and mostly forgotten for his time here. But after him? Wow, the Saints went a few years with just abysmal performance at the position.
I agree the team needs to move on from Carr, but it might have to be one more season due to his salary impact.

If Loomis can swallow his pride and run the financial side intelligently for the next couple of years to get us out of this hole, Moore is a great hire.

The ability to do this might define Moores success in NO.
If he can get a top 3 draft pick in 2026 and get a franchise QB, his odds of success go up from there.
If we win 7-9 games/season the next 2 years, im predicting he’s gone after 2 Moore.
