It is obvious Winston is not a good backup. So why do they keep him?

Joe Flaco just signed with Cleveland. Saints can get anyone to do better than Winston

I think his restructure actually lowered his cap impact

No other QB is going to cost negative, and he already knows the system/players.

Then just play Taysom full time. He can’t be worse.

In his defense, Kamara was held a bitnn by on second down, and then Olave slipped coming out of his break.
But he is not great, which is why he is the backup.

Winston is so inaccurate. His problem used to be the interceptions mixed in with good passes. Now it's just wild passes every time.

Minister of culture. Didn’t you see him rapping to Carr last week? Lots of value there.

DA is not a good coach, but we keep him.
Carr is also not a good QB, but we keep him.
Penning is not a good lineman, but we keep him.
Pete is not a good offensive coordinator, but we keep him.
Loomis is not a good GM, but we keep him.

So I don't know why Winston would be any different. At least he's kinda likeable.
