Nah, Loomis just sucks at drafting, period.
He is a horrid GM that has consistently put us in salary cap hell, has us still paying Derek Carr dead money, and was dead center in the bidding war for DeShan Watson before the Browns committed franchise suicide.
He is still living off of Sean Payton and LXIV Super Bowl win.
He should have been fired years ago.

It sucks to think what might have been if he would draft a player without an existing injury that was BPA. I wondered if they would at least have contributed meaningfully.
But Loomis is a gambler when it comes to drafting. He’s always hoping to find a HOF player out of the Emergency Room as if he’ll find Drew Brees twice in one lifetime.
