In this quote, Sanders uses the word "I" FIVE times in the first sentence. That about says it all.

No he was always a 4th/5th round talent. Deion was the only reason people were talking about him at all.

There isn't a chance in hell that Gabriel is a better QB than Sanders.

The question is if Gabriel will be a better backup QB than Sanders and I think that should be a near-unanimous opinion of "Yes"

Just look at this reaction to Sanders' draft fall and think about that same social media/media pressure EVERY day on a team. He wanted to make a brand and be a social media icon and told NFL teams if they didn't want to start him and build a team culture following him and his clout, then he wasn't interested. The NFL is telling him there is a mutual lack of interest, there.

Dillon Gabriel likely told every team he interviewed with he'd love the opportunity to be a backup and do all the weekly dirty work to help the starter and he'd be happy never starting a game if he wasn't good enough, BUT he'd work even harder to make sure he was ready if that day ever came.

NFL teams have all exercised due diligence so apparently there is.
