Is Saints management sycophant Jeff Duncan the worst the TP ever had?

Did you even take a second to read it? They were playing scenarios.

It was 4th down with 1 second left down 4. The ball had to get in to the endzone. The other routes were short and the corner route was a bad angle with a defender attached at the hip

Context matters is all he was saying here.

My opinion about Jeff Duncan is he went completely all in on the alleged Bountygate “scandal” in an effort to get a national sports media gig. He failed miserably & didn’t get the national gig. He has been stuck in no man’s land ever since.

The "corner": route was toward the middle right of the field for a right handed QB, The receiver Dixon was behind the defender. When you need that pass tio win you have to see that as a far better option than throwing into triple coverage and a bad pass at that. Shough has never shown an ability to handle pressure situations.

He was all in on it because the story was possibly fed to him by a now former member of Saints ownership who had it in for Payton and his staff for not jumping as SHE commanded.

Very lazy reporter. Seems to think he’s some kind of blue blood also.

He wrote for the Monroe News Star when I was growing up before coming to the Times Picayune & I used to read his work. You are right. He is no Blue Blood.

If what he posted about the situation was accurate...yes. Why do you disagree?

I don't like Duncan.

Because Shough has at least two other one-on-one options and one was a WR who was being covered ttight but was behind the safety at the goal line with plenty of real estate behind him. Lofting a high one there is far from a lock but has an exponentially higher chance of success than throwing into triple coverage. Triple coverage is a hint to your arse that there are more ihign percentage throws to make..

One of the downsides scouts noted on Shough was bad decision making in pressure situations. With 7 years of college coaching he would have been past that were he going to be,
