Rumor is brees has picked up a mean crack habit. I mean come on Drew. Who the hell waits until they are 39 to pick that up? Apparently it all started on a night out on the town with Jamarcus Russell.

Don't get me wrong, his arm is diminished from peak level 30-32 year old Brees, no question.

But I haven't, and I'm not sure anyone else has, seen any obvious decline in his arm strength these past 3 weeks compared to the Brees from the 1st 11 weeks that was playing the position better than any QB ever has in a single season, so I don't see how we can say his arm is the problem.

If he's hurt and losing velocity, that's one thing. But like I said, I haven't seen it, and I don't think any posters have eluded to it either.

So what is the "problem" with Jared Goff? Please elaborate.

The main problem is no Terron armstead and a healthy o line.

Brees with a clean pocket is unbeatable. Especially when the run game is moving. Armstead is the key.

That's what was pissing me off last night. Ingram was straight mauling the entire Carolina defense yet he hardly got any carries in the 2nd half. If Payton leans on him a bit the Saints likely win that thing by 2 TDs.

His lack of receiver depth is the problem. Brees' accuracy is still spot on.

This.

If you want to argue Brees isn't as accurate under duress as he used to be that's fine. There aren't many to play the game who have been as good as he was there.

when the OL was healthy and playing elite, the offense was elite. It's really that simple.

Go read the overreact threads. First, Payton has become predictable and robotic in his play calling targeting Thomas/Kamara too much. While, in the very same breath, the same idiots complain in another thread that TLL got the call at the goal line and the ball should ALWAYS go to Kamara/Ingram/Thomas and no one else.

It’s 2 main things: Armstead being out and WRs being inconsistent.

We stopped running plays stretching the field because they don’t think they have as much time due to the OL, and WRs dropping balls are hurting drives.

Also last night penalties hurt a couple big plays

the amount of people upset about a 2 loss NFL team playing elite D is kind of amazing.

I get not wanting to ignore weaknesses but some talk about this team like its one of the 7-9 teams
