He's only played in 2 preseasons. This year and 2010. He was a rookie in '10 and during the reg. season he had 4 fumbles with 2 lost. This preseason, unless I missed another fumble, the only one I saw was caused by a vicious hit that knocked him out for a few plays. Last year in the 6 or 7 games he played , he had no fumbles. And yea I heard he was fumbling everyday in camp. But in the end, it doesn't matter what we type about, if the coaches don't see a need for him in the games right now, then we won't know if he's gotten better with ball security.

did you see that play action bootleg. The whole frickin D bit on that. That play will come in handy this season.
Lack of that is a big part of the reason Ingram sucks. Get a few more big gains on the Ingram Decoy play and the holes will open up better for him. But he still seems to be an inferior back considering we spent a 1st and 2nd on him. If PT wasn't injury prone I'd be happy with just PT and Sproles getting most of the carries.

Plus he blocks pretty well.
Did you forget the fumble he recovered that he caused when he blew his blocking assignment and almost got Brees killed a few weeks ago? I think there's a reason the pass to Devery was a bootleg rather than Brees sitting in the pocket waiting for Ingram to miss a block.

Ingram = 3 yards and a pile of bust.

Really.
6 for 11y 1.8 ypc
9 for 14y 1.5 ypc
9 for 30y 3.3 ypc
13 for 33y 2.5 ypc
Who's stats are these for the last four games?

Ingram was a BAD pick. He doesnt fit in with this offense and Ivory has shown that he can get the job done. We should trade Ingram while we can still get something out of him. Arizona needs a RB and has a surplus of defensive talent

Breesus
His fumbling problem, needs to be put to the test

sorry but i have to call you out on this:
Ivory has never had a poblem Fumbling before this pre-season,and as for his hands if I remember rite his biggest play that turned everyones head was a screen pass out of the backfield that he ran over San Diego's starting safety and took it to the house...he is a combination of size.speed and power when he hits the second level he is not caught from behind and he runs over peole....so I don't know what Chris Ivory you have been watching but the way you see it is not the player that is on the field, because he brings it @ game time.....
I do respect a lot of things you say on this Board but that, its simply not the case....

He is a terrible back. I would rather have Shonn Greene. He has no vision and can't break a tackle. He's essentially our third best RB, possibly even fourth behind Ivory. BTW, 2 or 3 yard average is terrible.

ingram, trade him while he still has something for another team. He needs a fresh start and the Saints need more production.

Ivory will probaly play later in season. Every year I can remember he was hurt by the end of year. He's good insurance in case of injuries

Wow, Slapouttiger, that was a pretty impressive post.
May have underestimated you.

He is a very consistent and reliable 2-3 yrd back. Deal with it. We dont have anyone better in short yardage situations. And did you see that play action bootleg. The whole frickin D bit on that. That play will come in handy this season.
Come on now, let's be fair to Ingram. He's averaged 4 yards per carry or better in 3 out of his 16 career games now.
I do agree that Ingram is most valuable as a decoy on play action plays. He can lull the DBs into relaxation by pretending to take the handout, running into a O-Lineman's back and falling over.
