Jordan is awful. Everytime you say that; there's someone on here who'll post the "he's a run stuffer" bullshite yet I don't recall a TFL by him since he's been here.

The defensive line is getting good push, with run stuffers like Broderick Bunkley (+5.8 run defense) and Cameron Jordan (+8.5 run defense), but there is little resistance to runners who make it past the line. Curtis Lofton has proven to be an upgrade on last year’s linebacker group, but the rest of the unit fails to impress

Perhaps motivated by Ryan Kerrigan’s strong day, second-year defensive end Cam Jordan followed up his strong rookie campaign with a +6.8 grade in run defense. Primarily working against Polumbus (-6.9 run block), Jordan totaled a mammoth nine stops in 41 run snaps, good for a 22% Run Stop Percentage. He generally overwhelmed Polumbus and any tight end that attempted to block him in the run game.

In week one.

For the last fricking time this team can not run the ball. The running backs have no room to run. Reggie Bush was trash running the ball until he went to a team with an o-line that can run block. This whole team is running on one spark plug. Drew Brees and his passing. This defense takes worthless to a whole new level and the o-line can't play for shite.

This team misses Carl Nicks a lot more than I thought they would.

I was going to ask if you saw the stats i posted, then i read this:

So not only do you disregard statistics telling you he isnt a bad player you then watch every game and can't conclude that he's a good player, then you want us to value your opinion about football. I dont think I'm gonna do that.

It was me, I didnt call you retarded. I told you to stop being a whiny bitch i think. I still think youre retarded though.

Will Smith had a few hurrys and almost had a safety. Cam Jordan had a few hurrys and yeah, he didnt put on his best performance. But it wasnt terrible.

You don't draft a guy in the first round to be a complimentary player. Jordan should bring more . Seems like a wasted pick pick along with Ingram. The free agents we let walk Charleton, Hargrove and Nigerian kid played a lot harder and occasionally made aplay for a lot less money. shite play Hicks and let see if he can get any push from the end.

Guess who doesn't know shite about football.

Instead of comparing Jordan to stars in this league lets see who we passed up for him.

Muhammad Wilkerson 17T 0S (1st Rd)
Cameron Heyward 4T 1S (1st Rd)
Jabaal Sheard 13T 1S (did have 8.5S last year)
Brooks Reed 8T 1.5S
Da'Quan Bowers Injured
Justin Houston 14T 4S (3rd Rd Character concerns coming out)
Allen Bailey 0T 0S
Christian Ballard 6T 0S

Just for comparison purposes how about guys that went before Jordan

Marcell Dareus 4T 2S (playing DT)
JJ Watt 16T 7.5S (what if we would have traded up for this guy)
Robert Quinn 9T 3S
Adrain Clayborn 2T 0S (injured)

So just to clarify who exactly did we miss on at DE in this draft. I have been an Ingram supporter although PT23 is my favorite player on this team. That time has passed.

I have focused on him because outside of Ellis (who looks slow and uninspired) Jordan is the other number one pick on the line.

This shows your lack of knowledge. Will Smith, the starting RE, was the 18th overall pick in 2004.

Why didn't you throw in Ellis into the title? You go out of your way to say he look horrible.

Pretty hard to just hang your hat on stuffing the run as a defensive end. That just doesn't get the job done in today's game. And anyone talking about how takes time for a DE to transition, i beg to differ. DE is probably one of the easiest transitions in the NFL where guys can step in and start making impacts with sacks. Will Smith did it, Charles Grant did it and that was when we had Darren Howard too. We don't get any pressure from anywhere else to be excusing anybody as a non-sack artist cause "he's a run stuffer"... Well frick, if our DE's can rush, play the 3 fricking 4 or get out of the league.

You'll get grilled by some nerd who'll post a percentage stat. Jordan just plays patty cake with OTs all game instead of getting sacks and TFL.

+10000

while i'm not sold on Ingram being worthy of a 1st round pick, i'm also not sold on him being a bust of a player.

Remember how everyone thought Reggie Bush was a bust/trash/etc.....our running schemes just suck arse.
