Would rather it not be to cowboys, but a team needs a late season loss to focus and humble themselves. They are having a great season, and are clear contenders. I don’t understand the melt on here!

I hope all 4 of the behemoths in your pic sit on you at once.

I mean, it's not an unreasonable take. A lot of people were attributing the 10-game win streak to the horrible loss to the Bucs where they came out unprepared and were full on cheese. You could look at this game the same way.

Everybody picked the Saints to blow the Cowboys out. They put a plate of cheese out and the Saints just couldn't help themselves. Maybe this refocuses them again for another big win streak.

You would rather it come now than in the playoffs where you're one and done

yea I bet you were going into the start of the first quarter praying we would fall flat.

Finding a silver lining is one thing, but "glad we lost" is quite another.

I'm not. This is stupid.

But I hope we use this loss as fuel to finish strong.

I'm not "glad", but I'm not too bent outta shape about it.

I see a potential silver lining how you described.

And let's be honest, there was a very small chance we'd win out. That would be 18 in a row for the SB.

So you don’t like my wording, but I didn’t want to enter the playoffs with 15 straight. It’s too unlikely to finish out. Yes I’d rather be undefeated super bowl champs, but I think we will be better because of this. Just hate that may have cost us home field.

Certainly not "glad" we lost...I don't get that logic. But it's definitely not the end of the world. We're 10-2 for crying out loud. We played horrible against a team playing their best, and only lost by 3 with a chance to steal it in the end. We're absolutely fine.

I see the point the OP is making.

That was an incredible stretch of games we just had, and you could see a cooldown coming. The Atlanta game was nowhere near as good as the Rams or Eagles game.

Hopefully, this is just a game they needed to get out of their system, and start ramping it back up. If we peak again during the playoffs like we did in midseason, we win the Superbowl.
