Ill give the Saints some credit

Not super excited about the pick. But at least they picked a money position in the first. I hate the drafting of linebackers, defensive tackles and running backs in the first. Value is horrible for those positions in the first. And we passed on the ND linebacker and Barmore so i still have some faith the front office knows what they doing.

I’ve repeated this several times on this board, the Saints will NOT draft Asante Samuel. He is predominantly zone corner. The Saints run a predominantly man to man Defense. He does not fit our scheme.

What do y'all think about Jabrill Cox? I've read a few posts here and there saying he would be the perfect guy to replace Kwon Alexander.

I have a feeling they plan on moving him or davenport to DT .. he played 2 years there and we need someone to replace Rankins. Think of all the speed with Cam, davenport, turner, and onyemata.

I agree with the scheme analysis; however, when you combine the fact that Allen loves to start the season trying to force a zone defense with man defenders and combine that with them bringing over Richard and rumors of Sherman, a zone corner may actually make sense.

We are awful at drafting linebackers. Our best bet would be to trade or sign a Jets linebacker in the future. They pick our future linebackers for us.
