I have mostly discussed staying aggressive in this draft. However, if we were to trade back I think seattle would be the team that we can work a deal with. Edge rusher is a position that could be available at 24 that may have a drop off at 27. It doesn’t look like Seattle will be able to resign Clowney. Yetur Gross-Matos is a guy that fits their scheme that they may be wanting to bring in. Could potentially move down to 27 and pick up one of Seattle’s late second.

Titans is another team that may be looking to move up for an edge rusher. They signed Beasley but he is inconstant. Chiasson if falls, Baun, or Epenesa May be better fits for them. They may be wanting to move up to secure one of those guys. When teams move up it is typically for a particular player they cover. Could move down to 29 and pick up their late second.

The wildcard here is the qb position. A qb falling to us could put us in a prime spot to trade back. I think edge rusher may be the ticket bc it is a position that is highly coveted.

if that happens then it could only be if payton and loomis are both tied up and locked in a closet somewhere

all they know how to do is over pay to trade up to reach for players that are projects or we could have still gotten at our spot if we didnt trade up

I think Chicago is a trade back candidate for us- they have no first rounder and 2 second rounders (43 and 50)

If they offered us those 2 straight up for 24 it would be a really tough call

while this is my preference...and my opinion means nothing. i can also argue that there are not many "open" roster spots on this team. thus, too many draft picks are unnecessary.

That would be a really tough call with Chicago. I think I'd have to stay put though.

in the near future, the Saints are going to have let some established guys move on....and that is when the draft picks will be needed.....

that is why Payton/Ireland/Loomis are there, and i am here.

Saints just refuse to trade back lmao. Their M.O. has always been to stand pat or even go up and get their guy.

Y’all are some frustrating people. I know they don’t trade back and I don’t even think they should trade back but there is people that have felt really strong about trading back so I was entertaining it. It also possible that they do trade back if they don’t like the prospects and value at 24 so I was just sparking some convo on it.
