Saints are pretty well fixed for the passing game. They need a power running back and defensive backs.

Current situation for the Saints, any of Landry / Addai / Dorsey would be golden.

Just overall, Landry, Dorsey, Faneca, Bowe, Addai, Clark, Webster, Clayton, Spears, James are my top 10.

They're really not all that fixed.

Lance Moore is our #2 option. Drew Brees is doing a hell of a job making Moore look good, because he is not THAT good.

Bowe would come in, and IMO, be our #1 option with Colston #2. That would be sick!!!

Well, most people in the thread were taking guys at need positions, which is why Landry and James were the top choices of most people.

If I was building a team from scratch, Bowe would probably be my top Tiger, but since we're talking about this Saints team right now, I went based on need. I honestly felt going into the draft a versatile big back was a huge need for the Saints, and still do. Its definitely more of a need for the Saints this year than WR. I think Colston will come back healthy and Bowe and Colston are very similar threats IMO, and Brees can work with less talented guys and make them work in our system with his precision passes, which makes having a second guy like Bowe not as crucial to our success this year IMO.

Similar to how no one was really jumping up and down saying we should go after Boldin or Owens when they were available, both players I'd rate higher than Bowe. WR just isn't really a huge priority right now for the Saints.

Sorry I didn't see these posts before I made my other response. You're right Bowe and Colston would be sick, but I think a backfield with Bush, Thomas, and Hester would be pretty damn money too.

Moore isn't our only option at #2. Henderson is a very effective deep threat, and we still have guys with potential in Meachum and Arrington. I just think Brees can make all of those guys better to a point that our receiving corps is already as good as we NEED it to be. I'm not sure our backfield is where we NEED it to be yet, and I'm certain that our secondary and linebackers aren't either.

I'd put all of those positions ahead of getting a #2 receiver.

Landry/Webster make most sense

What about Jarvis Green? Get rid or move Grant to inside?

who would you pick?

Based on need, I'd take Landry. Corey Webster looks to be evolving into a premium corner, but the Saints already invested so much in the CB position. Dorsey and Ellis in the middle is also very enticing. If I could have any LSU player as a rookie, I would take Faneca in a heartbeat. Reggie may then be able to get 4 yds a carry between the tackles finally.

Faneca, Bowe, Addai, Dorsey way over Hester IMO

WAKE UP!!!!!!! JaMarcus fricking Sucks!!! He will never be shite in the NFL.

quote:

JaMarcus Russell threw a four-yard screen pass toward Justin Fargas that landed near the running back's shoelaces.

quote:

Russell, entering his critical third season with the Raiders, is having troubles "just being accurate and understanding where to throw the football and when," coach Tom Cable said Wednesday, probably not realizing the indictment he had just thrown at his $60 million franchise signal caller.

He wont even start this year watch Garcia will take his spot.
JaMarcus is just to stupid to be a good QB in this league. He has the mentality of peanut butter.

Oh and P.S. I would take Landry over all the rest of them by far. Who drafted him? Oh yeah it was Gregg Williams.

He's a Michael Vick clone minus the legs. Big arm, bird brain.
