Of course it’s probably a new rule for 2026 we are just the lucky first team to not benefit from it

It’s a backwards lateral regardless. You can’t have a pass and not a lateral

This is likely the first time this exact scenario occurred. They probably don’t have this exact scenario in the rules so they don’t what to do.
