For sure, I think we're one of those teams, and we need defense

Double Down, if (since Saban has coached), Alabama has ever had a schedule even close to the one LSU had the last year Mathieu played and dominated, then i apologize; otherwise, you are full of shite with your weaker opponents crap. rolleyes:

Oh, and Atlanta is the anti-Bama.

I'm not saying he was revis island but he was awesome

This!

Watch his interception against Florida. Deep ball he is in perfect coverage and makes a play. Double Down go watch the highlights of the NC game. He has good coverage, but the throws are great and so are the catches with TM climbing on the guys back. He is not a shut down corner, but has adequate cover skills and way above average play making skills.

The size thing is so over rated! Ask Drew Brees, Darren Sproles, Russell Wilson, Barry Sanders and many many more how they feel about the size aspect. It is not the size of the dog in the fight!

LSU has produced an outstanding amount of Secondary players past 8 years or so and every single one of them has had their fair share moment of coverage burns.

The dude is a head case and is 5'8 on a tall day. NFL QB's would pick him apart. The last game he played AJ MCCARRON made him look silly. The only way he sees an NFL field is as a return specialist.

Too small. Do not want.

So what are you saying about AJ McCarron? Just you watch Gumps! It prob won't be for the Saints but you will see TM making plays in the NFL.

He is 5'9 and you are taking a very small sample size. By they way if you do not like small coners I guess a guy like Brent Grimes has no place in the NFL.

javier arenas... 5'9... one of bama's own. And tyran's special teams play ALONE is enough to warrant consideration.

That he's not as talented as 90% of NFL QB's right this second.

I love Javier Arenas... wouldn't want him playing defense for the Saints though.

I agree. I said the only way he sees an NFL field is as return specialist.

Aaron Glenn. 5'9 shutdown corner going to the HOF, or should.

Lito Sheppard. 5'10 first round CB. 1/2 the talent of an HB7

Is it worthwhile to compile a list of Secondary Players that Jamarcus Russell threw passes against throughout his tenure at LSU?

What I remeber about that game is that LSU didn't get any pressure, and the gameplan was perfect, a lot of quick slants and crossing routes, that TM was in the guys hip pocket. That night was McCarron having a career night up until that point.

TM listed at 5'9... his measurements at combine will be interesting.

Please.

AJ threw over and around the guy for 4 quarters. Mathieu was actually a liability for LSU in that game. AJM made him look incredibly average. Most NFL Qb's would do the exact same thing.

I don't know why you all have to make him more than he is. Javier Arenas should NEVER have gone when he did and they're the exact same player.

Fair enough!

But he has played against 2 starting NFL QBs in Cam Newton and Ryan Tannehill. Cam Newton did nothing special on Tyrann, infact Tyrann had a decent game his freshman year against him. Against RT, and I'm not saying he is an elite QB, but TM had one of his best games including an absolutely amazing INT in really good coverage. He is not a lock down corner, but look at the Saints roster alone...there are some god awful corners in the NFL!
