Really deep WR class.
Let's be like ATL and go all in on skill players.
frick the foundation.

Atlanta has made some nice moves recently in the draft and has a great foundation. Defense needs work, but that offense was locked and loaded. Mike Smith just doesn't have what it takes to out coach the top coaches in the NFL.

WR is definitely one of the deepest positions. I think no matter what, we'll have a damn good receiver on the board at #27. Just depends if there's a top DB we still have left up still there to take. Seems like the most likely two positions unless a big time player is left out there for some odd reason that we like.

Sure, there will be plenty there at 27th, but we don't need to be drafting a 6ft speedy receiver.
There are 2 studs at wideout that measure in at 6'4" or taller and we should go after one of them. We need that big physical skill set way more right now.

As someone on the MSB mentioned, this WR class is so deep that you can get first round talent in the second or third.
We should probably do that.

If Benjamin or Evans fall or come close to our pick at 27. We should make that move first. If not, then I agree we can get a good WR later on.
Coleman would be a great 3rd option.

I gotta say though, I'm gonna be kinda disappointed if we don't draft a WR in the first three rounds.

Yeah, this has to be every saints fans mentality after watching that inconsistent shite show last season.

I just feel like until we get Brees a better pocket, it's not going to matter who we have running down the field.

I think our pass protection is fine actually.
Especially with Armstead.
Part of the reason Brees held onto the ball so long is because no one was open.

As soon as Armstead became the starter at LT the line immediately came together and the struggles almost disappeared immediately. We need to find an upgrade at Center, but if Streif resigns I think our line will be fine again.
We will realize moving forward that Brees' arm strength will be the bigger issue than the protection will be.

Not sure if any of y'all are watching the combine right but this kid Jeff Janis from Saginaw Valley State just ran a 4.30 at almost 6'4". Excited to see his hands and agility in the upcoming tasks. Maybe a good later rd WR pickup.

I'm all over it. It was impressive.
But we need to look at the tape to make sure he isn't just a track star.

Mayock said he had 2 seasons of 100 plus catches
Posted on 2/23/14 at 11:37 am to Mouth
Janis's second run was 4.44.

Protection wasn't the only probably but our wide outs aren't the greatest anymore. Colston is slower than Jimmy right now. And Meachem is well Meachem we lack consistency at WR

Really!?
I didn't hear anyone's comments. I just saw him run.
We do have a lot of success with small school catch monsters.
But we've also had a lot of hyped small school guys never stick either.
