Oh i wasnt saying use a 1st rounder on him.... which is why i said hes a guy flying under the radar.
Id love to get best CB available like Gilbert or Roberson if they are there.
And then come back and get him in the 3rd.
But hes going to fly up draft boards after the combine.

T Cyrus Kouandjio, Alabama - I believe starting him off as a right tackle would be a great move before letting him take over on the left side should Armstead not work out
Alabama tackle Cyrus Kouandjio didn’t help his draft stock Saturday by running a lumbering 5.53 in his 40-yard dashes.
But the reason he looked so slow might be more of a concern to teams.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, “several teams” have failed Kouandjio on his physical because of an arthritic knee, which stemmed from a failed surgery.
The massive blocker was considered a first-round talent when he left school, but those medical concerns could cause him to slide, and make teams wonder where to draw the line between obvious talent and potential medical risk.
He also put up 21 repetitions in the 225-pound bench press, and while his long arms are a factor, that’s still a low number for a player who could have made a name for himself this weekend for the right reasons.

quote:Good luck with that. Only two teams with two firsts to give are Cleveland and St. Louis and Graham wouldn't be worth their picks. STL, while Graham would be a severe upgrade, is already financially committed to Cook and Cleveland has a young TE in Cameron that they wont have to break the bank for.
If we got two first rounders for JG I would go with
Graham is in NOLA for at least another year and if he leaves it won't be by trade.

I don't trust Roberson from Florida, I watched him play and he's not reliable.
Only reason I would take Benjamin would be if he ran a blazing 40 time other than that I'd rather take OBJ or Marqise lee a deep threat. We already have 2 big body possession receivers we don't need another

I don't think a first is where you take a deep threat KS and Morgan are both very young and should take care of that. Colston is breaking down physically and graham is a huge unknown. I'd wouldn't count on the two big bodied types. Also we have NO big body types with legit speed. Give me a big, fast guy who can leap. A number 1 prototype guy (even if he's a little raw) that we can develop. Benjamin would be ideal but I'm afraid he's gonna rocket up the board.

You and I are clearly on the same page this off season. Top priority is adding a big strong WR in order to keep in tact the tall physical rec corp we've had the last few yrs.
I just watched Benjamin run his 40 yd @ 4.59 sec unofficial. Right where someone with his size and ability usually is. His stride eats up ground fast. He just looks like a freak. A grown arse man.
Want!!!!!!!!!
eta: Evans just ran a 4.50 flat unofficial. He's a giant freak too. Also want!!!!

Obj with the 4.40. I don't think he will be there at 27 anymore.
Posted on 2/23/14 at 8:50 am to Melvin
I agree. It looked faster than 4.40. I bet he drops it to 4.39 or 4.38 on his second run.
That sucks the NFL told him he couldn't wear the shoes at the last second like that. Apparently OBJ thought he could of been the fastest WR at the combine with those shoes. I bet he is pissed.
Eta: wow! 4.31

I'd like to see Benjamin run a little bit better his second time
OBJ just ran a 4.31 geezus

Ok. 4.53 for Benjamin's 2nd run. That's really fast for being that big and strong.
Posted on 2/23/14 at 8:54 am to Mouth
Yeah 4.5 for a guy his size is plenty fast enough. Don't think he makes it to 27 now either

I'm sold but I don't think he will be there for us could be wrong though

Like I've mentioned. If either Benjamin or Evans somehow fall to the 20th pick range, then trading up could be a move Payton would make. I'm not sure what the cost value of moving up 7 spots from 27 to 20th would take? Give up a couple 2nd or 3rds from 2015 maybe?
He knows we need another big dominant receiver to keep our offense from becoming even older and more predictable.
eta: When we traded back into the 1st for Ingram everyone said immediately that Reggie was gone. Even Reggie said it.
My point is, there is currently a lot of and age, money, and health issues with our pass catchers right now. So I am confident Payton will be targeting a big time player at WR.

OBJ certainly rose his stock.
Benjamin is a mountain of a man, would look dashing in the black and gold. With all these receivers this year, wonder if we go OT first, what WRs fall.
Is Watkins running?

He rose mine, too.

I think the WRs are done? I didn't see Watkins or Landry run and I haven't changed the channel.
Posted on 2/23/14 at 9:23 am to Mouth
I assumed there was going to be more than one group. I could be wrong.
Posted on 2/23/14 at 9:24 am to AmosMosesAndTwins
No you're right. The 2nd group likely hasn't gone yet.
Posted on 2/23/14 at 9:24 am to AmosMosesAndTwins
Yeah, there's more than one WR group, from what I've seen.
