If anything, this season should make the asking price for Payton even more

Many remember 2012, where Pete was running the offense fully with Payton on suspension.
Many decried that showed Payton wasn’t as responsible, but after last season and this one, you see the reality of what Payton brought.
Sure a ton goes to Brees, but Payton still won plenty of games without him and tons of injuries. Even in the weakest division in the NFL, Allen couldn’t even muster a winning record and the offense was awful for most of the season.
Ask for a record haul and hope someone bites. Don’t accept anything not considered a major win for the team.

After seeing the results from this season, Goodell will suspend Payton again because it’s obvious he was involved with the 2012 team
