When you consider what the Mike Bell, Pierre Thomas, Tim Hightower, Khiry Robinson, etc. have done in this offense
One of these is not like the others.
And, Ingram is on a different level, talent wise, than any of those without the initials PT.
The others have never been given "the load".
ETA: How dare you list PT in the company of those other scrubs.

If you think 5.1 YPC (2016) in the NFL is average at best, please go ahead and facepalm yourself.
Adrian Peterson had a great 2015 season. He rushed for 4.5 ypc.
Do you think that Peterson's 2015 was less impressive than Ingram's 2016? Situation, workload, etc. play a lot into the numbers. 5.1 ypc is elite. I don't think Ingram is an elite back. Being an average (top 15ish) RB makes you a damn good RB. It's not an insult. I think that's a fair assessment for Ingram.
The problem is that in this day and age, 32nd RB isn't that different than the 16th best. And, in this offense, the difference may even be less.
If you don't have a true difference maker (top 4 RB), I don't know if our offense would notice the difference.

I loved Pierre. He was perfect for our system...and a great example of how a guy can be extremely productive without being an elite talent.

You need to go look at the 32nd ranked rb then. There is a HUGE difference.
Thats literally saying we should have traded Pierre Thomas in 2010 because Mike bell played well in 2009.

You totally missed the point, thanks for writing a wall of text for nothing. It was a response to him saying Ingram was average at best.

Don't think he'll ever get close to that.
