As a journalist, he knows that a story about Goodell/NFL purposely manufacturing/embellishing evidence in order to borrow "player safety" prestige against concussion lawsuits is a much bigger story/scandal than some incentivized football whacks could ever be.

I thought this when the first hints at any type of foul play came to light. I do give him some credit though...the meteoric rise of NFL popularity over the past decade has made him a lot of money. The NFL being taken down a peg or two would hurt his bottom line.

I do think any journalist/organization who does not immediately profit from the NFL/show its games/highlights/etc would jump like crazy at a cover up story. It would be one of the biggest sports stories in decades.

I do applaud Florio for defending the Saints players's case so loudly & so often over the past few weeks.

But don't kid yourself, it's not because he wants to see an injustice made just.

I completely agree but I'm glad that someone's doing what he's doing, no matter what the reason. The only reason that a lot of the other so called "journalists" are starting to come around now is because of everything that he's brought up lately.

bingo.

severe bingo, with great anticipation.

My question:

Will Obama use Executive Privilege to protect Goodell, too?

I'll take "Things I never thought I would read on Saints Talk" for $400, Alex.

I think Florio just nailed it EXACTLY and that is why you have OFFICIALS on the field and EVERY GAME is reviewed post game. Show me where the saints were any more illegal on the field than any other team. Where did they even rank among personal fouls in the league.

I believe they were in the Top 5 2009-20011, but my question was who was ahead of them--and what type of hits.
