by making Goodell the bad guy.

that is because he is the judge, jury, and executioner. You said yourself you think he went to far with it.

I haven't seen anyone say that the Saints shouldn't be punished. I've only seen people say that the punishment was excessive

he probably would have beat the chargers in court. The guy he hit was extremely fricked up, jumped over a highway barrier and ran into traffic.

I do put this on Sean, If he was told to stop and didn't then we should be punished, I think a year was just a power play on godell's part, since sean pretty much told him to frick off. I do think it's funny all the butthurt fans from other teams running over to our board though. ( not saying your one) But it doesnt mean I don't still love my team and coach, They can suspend him, they can fine him, but they can't take the MFkn Superbowl.

That doesn't mean he's the one to blame here. SP, Loomis, etc are.

If that's the case, he should have fought it and not plead guilty. He admitted to driving drunk and killing someone and served a 1 year suspension. All that I am saying is the offenses are not equal. Therefore the punishments should not be equal.

they are the blame for getting in trouble, I haven't seen anyone say otherwise

Roger is to blame for making the punishment excessive.

Its pretty easy to understand why Saints fans are protective of Payton and its pretty easy to understand why we feel the punishment was excessive.

they are entirely different circumstances. Coaches are held to a higher standard than players

So you think videotaping some practice is worse than potentially ending ones career?

careers can be potentially ended every weekend. How many times were the Saints penalized for illegal hits? Do you think a defensive player hits harder because there's an extra grand sitting out there?

How people are trying to justify the Saints actions is beyond me. If this had come to light from teams like the Falcons, Panthers, or Buccs, the punishment would've been "fair" according to Saints fan. I mean wow.

bullshite. If I really felt like it, I could find multiple cases where this was the exact charge. You see this everyday in LA.

AS a matter of fact, here is a link from last years Hammond accident where the guy kille THREE people

Dude is a blatant troll. I really don't know why y'all feed him at this point. All of the niners fans on here hate the Saints, and all of the Saints fans hate the niners. He is the equivalent of a Falcons fan trying to troll you.

nobody is justifying their actions you moron. although i do think some of the "bounty" shite is overboard. This has been going on on almost every team for the last 50+ years.

in all honesty....not for me. if the Falcons coach were suspended for 1 year without pay i'd still be just as shocked.....just not as upset about it.

A year suspension for lying to the commish is excessive, even if it's Smitty.

It's a big part of what's wrong with the state of Louisiana, a state i have a lot of fondness for, and it's really frustrating. Hold people accountable

I agree that in general Louisiana let's people get away more shite than other places. Politicians, government officials/agencies/police etc

But for you to link it to sports, the one arena where EVERY city, state, community blindly follows their winning teams is just BS

SF fans defend Barry bonds till the day he left MLB, NE fans at the time of spygate thought they were being made an example of, every college football fan of every major program thinks ESPN is biased against them.

That you think this behavior Saints fans are displaying right now, which disgusts you, is somehow isolated to Louisiana is just stupid and shows a lack of awareness on your part.
