Me too. Honestly I’ve been listening this season on the radio more than the tv.
I’ve been working on my house with no tv but have a radio there so have happened to listen to most of the games and just kind of came around to Deuce because I realized every time he makes a big deal about something he is right. Like I start paying attention when he gets excited and he turns out to be correct.
He is very critical but his analysis backs it up. Meanwhile the post game with Christian and Bobby is so damn pedestrian

Deuce is really coming into his own. I think him doing college games as well is helping... he's getting more opportunities to get experience.
I'm glad for him. He had a lot of issues after his Saints career ended (many self-inflicted) and so I'm glad he's getting it together.
As far as Hoss... look he is a great reporter / anchor who clearly prepares well. He does a good job with the radio shows, pre-game, coming in and out of timeouts... heck he's even good at talking between plays and interacting with Deuce.
But he's absolutely terrible at calling the play by play as it happens.
It's only his second year, maybe he will get better. But this is the problem when you hire someone in-house becasue they are there, and not go hire someone who actually has experience.
My guess is thbe Pelicans guys (radio and tv) don't want the job.

Agree I think Deuce is very solid. Really good insight and doesn’t sugar coat things. His homer level is minimal which I appreciate.
The play by play guy - we had one of the true greats in Jim Henderson. He was so good I routinely chose the radio over TV for stretches of a game. I just want the play by play guy to give me the information.
An example from yesterday Geno smith scrambles out of bounds for next to nothing on 3rd and long. But it’s at a spot and time of the game where depending on the distance it could be a go situation. Hoss didn’t ever communicate whether the geno smith scramble shortened the yard to go and left the listening hanging on that until he announced a punt.

I think it’s safe to say after 7 pm last night I had a few too many. Won’t be doing that again for awhile, how embarrassing

Agree. Deuce gets better every year.
