I can't believe they allowed two 80 yard TD drives to that thing they call Alex Smith in a 3 minute span. frick Gregg Williams and Malcolm Jenkins. Only way I'll forgive Jenkins is if he KOs Vernon Davis Sunday.

Yes, Pierre Thomas being knocked out of the game had a direct impact on the game...and not just for his skills. PT being out meant Sproles had to take more of the RB load, which meant Courtney Roby had to step in for Sproles at KR, and he promptly fumbled a kickoff return. Incidentally, Sproles also fumbled a kickoff return earlier in the game.

Drew Brees' greatness simply couldn't overcome two turnovers deep in our territory.

I never went back and re-watched that game. It was too hard. It's seared in my memory, perhaps forever.

I have no doubt in my mind that if we win that game, that year would've ended with us winning our second super bowl ring.

And no way Goodell pulls his shite on the defending Super Bowl champs.

I was at that game and came away with the wish that every 49er fan die with a stick of dynamite stuck up their asses

Two years later and my desire to see this happen has not diminished

I still think we would have been better off if Harper had just interfered with Davis on that last touchdown.
