I assume Banks will have a tightrope procedure done?

I would think the surgery would be the tightrope procedure which would put him out 6 weeks if it’s a high ankle. I honestly would rather a fractured ankle as it would heal up to 100% faster than ligament damage. I’ve had both injuries and the broken ankle heals faster and better, at least in my case.

I tore all 3 ligaments in my ankle in 8th grade and the doctor didn't recommend the surgery. Well, I've had a weak ankle all my life because of it since they're stretched out now I guess. I'll step on a whole wrong and hobble for a week every year or so.

I’m a human weather machine because of the hardware in my ankle. When rain is coming and the pressure drops my ankle will be throbbing.

10 weeks is what is being reported. I bet he pushes to be back around the Bengals game unless we’re like 8-2 or 7-3 at that point

Yeah, he is having surgery and is out indefinitely.

I don't remember hearing anything about tightrope procedure since Bama had some players get it a few years ago but their recovery was only a few weeks I think
