I’d honestly be surprised if Miami doesn’t take him at 5.

Joe Burrow is the consensus top qb available. It isn’t just bc Burrow is from Ohio. No team is picking Tua ahead Of Joe B. Top 10 picks are too valuable to gamble on a qb if you are not sure that he is your guy. I do believe the Tua talk is smoke but first round projected qbs fall all the time.

Not sure about that...if both came out last year (hypothetically I’m aware Tua was a Sophomore) Tua would still be a top ten pick ... Joe wouldn’t... some teams probably have Tua edging out Joe...

Being from Ohio helps...because if all things we’re equal and Tua wasn’t injured last season ... being a native is probably the only thing that gets Joe picked in Cincinnati over Tua... if Miami or L.A. had the #1 pick it would be a much bigger debate about who goes # 1

That wasn’t what was stated. The poster was implying that other teams would take Tua over Joe as it stands. Of course Tua was the better prospect two years ago. Who cares? It is more important how you develop and finish. Joe outshined Tua last year even before the injury. The fact that joe is from Ohio doesn’t mean anything. Joe is the better prospect this year.

No question he would be best player available at that spot in the round. If he clears medically, he has too much potential to pass up for a position that will be critical in 1-2 years!

Not worth the risk IMO, he is fragile. If he is there at 24 I am trading the pick and raiding someone who wants him.

What am I missing? This sounds like a no brainer to me.
