Because he had possession and then he lost it. Replay is pretty clear.

He was still shuffling the ball around on his helmet with one hand. There was no control and then steps. That analysis trying to say he had four steps?? Including two for going to the ground

If his knees were down I bet that's incomplete, because he's trying to pin the ball against the side of his helmet.

You know the announcers infuriate me more than the referees. At least they're blatant. But announcers who knows something is bogus or completely ridiculous will just say wow what a great tackle or oh that's a rough break. Or something that is ridiculous bad targeting yet calling it a textbook targeting etc. making sure they don't even put an ounce of doubt on horseshite calls. Say what you mean you pussy. Say what you know is the truth. Every word is a sugar coated bullshite line. You're there to give us analysis of the game. Do it
