This. Play ended with 41 seconds left and our next snap was with 16 seconds left. Just total incompetence.

I could understand the runoff if they blew it dead immediately but they cost us 10 seconds allowing us to get to the line before blowing it dead

Exactly. We got screwed twice on that play. Once by the original spot and again on replay. It was clear as day to everyone he made it to the 1st down marker which was right at the yard line. Hard to miss.

Unless I am crazy, they really mishandled the replay. They should have reset the clock to 41 seconds and then run 10 seconds down to 31. That took 15 seconds away from the Saints.
SO WE SHOULD HAVE HAD 31 FREAKING SECONDS AND A TIMEOUT. THEY STOLE AT LEAST THREE POINTS.
