Maybe it was where you're sitting because they were similar to what the OP experienced around me.

Steelers fans were totally cool. They yelled for their team and engaged in some good natured ribbing. They took a lot of shite where I was and handled it well. Kudos to them.

The ones at the top of 613 were assholes. I was wearing my costume (DJ DeadMau5) and I cannot tell you how many of those assholes slapped my head as hard as they could because they were pissed off.

The people directly next to me had a bucket photos of feed the children asking for donations, and would take the money they got out of the bucket to buy beer and food.

Well you prolly deserved it if you were wearing a huge mouse head. I would have done the same. Huge obnoxious costumes at a football game = tdm

I knew it was going to get in peoples way if I sat in my seat. That's why I went all the way to the top and stood the whole game. So I dont think I deserved it.

The Steeler fans I met encountered on the streets and in the stands were completely cool. They were loud and boisterous, but that's why fans go to games.

I was a conflicted fan, I grew up a steeler through and through in North Louisiana. I Always rooted for the Saints my home state team ( painfully at times). I had great seats and good natured ribbing for 8 hours, I did not experience anything hostile the entire night.

The Steeler fans I encountered where 100% true class. I loved partying with them yesterday on Bourbon St.

Some of the best looking out of town arse I've ever seen come into the Dome.

They definitely travel well!!

I was dressed in a suit jacket with a white shirt, jeans, and a black and gold tie. I think I took a million photos, I know I was the only person there dressed as DeadMau5 with a disco ball.

I'll start by saying I was extremely disappointed with how many ticket holders sold their tickets to the game. I know people have obligations, but the amount of steelers fans there was crazy.

That being said, most of the steeler fans were very respectable. Had a steelers fan sitting right behind me who was probably the most respectful visitor fan I've ever encountered.
