the fact that nobody knows what his injury is confirms why I am so confused on what is going on with him.

It's been pretty private concerning his improvements. Which is what kind of scares me.

We know what the injury was. They finally came out last year and admitted it was a hernia type injury near his hip (whereas before they went with the vague hip descriptor).

It isn't going to linger this long after surgery.

I like this. And I think homer glasses off if they stay together and healthy this group can be very very good.

quote:

Delvin Breaux, a second-year cornerback who spoke Friday at Woodlake Elementary School in Mandeville about literacy, said the draft night gathering included the entire secondary group, minus Damian Swann as he attended school at Georgia. "It was pretty cool just having those guys there, building that chemistry that we need to win," Breaux said. "We didn't do this last year. The fact that we came together as a unit to watch, we got something special."

My only concern would be if the issue were some sort of nerve damage, which would linger, as opposed to just a wound healing issue.

I hope the fact that we didn't draft a CB, unless you think Bell will play significant time at nickel, speaks to his health.

I fully believe that there will be plenty of defensive sets we run with Byrd, Vaccarro, and Bell on the field together. Whether Bell is at nickel or Vaccarro. But at the same time, I think Bell will be training to take over for Byrd at FS. Cause Byrd wont be back after this season.

Don't worry. Guys come back from microfractured hernias all the time. It's not as big of a deal as it used to be with all the modern advances in medicine and therapy.
