If so, how much did it cost for a legit framing? I've been trying to decide if I want to try to do it myself to save a few bucks, or if I should get it professionally done.

Pics would be nice if possible.

i bought the TP pages they sell on NOLA.com

i went to Michaels looking for frames to fit it, but couldnt find any that size.

they have some samples though, and one of them is the 2 newspaper front pages of the sports page and the front page of the Times Pic. It looked really nice. No one was around so i couldnt find out how much it would cost, so i just left.

$100, was it special framing to help preserve it, or was it just a nice frame?

I'm wondering if it's going to be a bitch trying to specially frame it myself for preserving purposes, or if I shouldn't even waste my time.

I went to Michael's and paid around $70 each to get both dual cover (Front Page and Sports Front) posters from NOLA.com framed. That included a ready made 22x28 black poster frame and a Saints gold matte with an opening for each cover. I also got the Sun Life Stadium Edition done, and that one was about $40 with a ready made 20x28 poster frame. I'm picking one of the duals this weekend, I'll let you know how it came out.

Go to Cannon Framing in Metaire. It's on W. Napoleon in the strip mall with Gio's pizza and Step Brothers bar. They do a great job. I think the cost was $125, but it looks way better than any crappy frame your get at Michael's or one of those other craft type stores. For something like this, spend the extra money if you want it to last forever.

I bought the 2 NFC front pages and the 2 superbowl front pages from the TP store on nola.com for 25 bucks a piece. I got 2 seperate frames done with the 2 pages side by side with black matting. I framed the NFC papers with all 8 season tickets plus the 2 playoff tickets and I framed the 2 superbowl pages with my superbowl ticket. It cost me a $140 for each framing. I would deffinitely suggest you get it professionally done.

I'll post the pictures of it next week when I get them in.

I've had the last two LSU championships framed with my ticket, and I think it was around 100-125. I still have to get this one and the ticket done though, but I'm expecting the same. If you keep checking Michael's they usually have a custom framing sale.

I had to go to Indy the day after the game for work and I picked up 10 copies of their paper to frame. I have a few left if anyone is interested. Peyton's face is priceless!

That's what I'm thinking about doing, framing the NFC championship and the SB front pages side by side.

Thanks, I'm interested in seeing how it looks. I actually made a sample on the internet and I'm thinking something like this:

$95, including the print. Professionally done, double matted, custom frame. Looks great! Don't have a pic, but could get one.

To anyone who purchased the front page or sports page of the Times Picayunne on Nola.com: Where are you able to purchase it on the site? and is it a paper print or something laminated?

no problem

I suggest you get BOTH pages together and then let the framing place cut the pages out...its cheaper that way.
