NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A French Quarter merchant has been charged in federal court with selling counterfeit New Orleans Saints jerseys.

U.S. Attorney Dana Boente's office says 36-year-old Mohammed Sameer Ahmed, of Kenner, was charged with trafficking in counterfeit goods in a bill of information filed Wednesday.

Ahmed is accused of peddling the phony jerseys in his French Quarter store, which was not identified by authorities.

a few years back, I had got some friends together and we ordered like 20 Saints jerseys for us and our families. But they had many that were the wrong size, and one that was #25 but said Brees.

So I was stuck with like six left over because they were the wrong size or whatever.

Looking to get rid of them, I went to eBay.
I listed and sold them for only $25 a piece as I just wanted them gone.
One person wrote and said "What a jip, fake ripped off jersey" next thing I knew Payapl held my funds for six months, ebay suspended my account. Then a few months later I get a letter from Adidas demanding a few thousand dollars. They said they were suing me for selling the Jerseys over online.
I just threw the letters away, and never got a summons.
A lawyer called me with threats and such.
I just blew it off.

Thankfully I had another ebay account./
Now I just let someone else deal with China, had they not fricked up my order I wouldn't have had all those headaches. I just hope I don't have a warrant or lien somewhere.
