the dixie chicks appealed almost purely to the "country/western" crowd with a bit of crossover success. That's like little wayne dissing obama...the fans wouldn't like it too much

who cares about endorsement deals...that is where you are ENDORSING a company. Hank was just a part of the broadcast, the Dixie Chicks make more money touring and selling albums than they do from some makeup advertisement and the companies that pay them hope to tap into the market that the dixie chicks sell their music to.
these companies really need to understand who they are getting in with before hand. Hey Aflac, gilbert gottfried is an offensive comedian who makes jokes about 9/11 literally days afterword, that's his business and he's not tailoring his jokes so that he can keep his aflac gig. Firing gottfried was stupid (at least that had some numbers behind it), pulling hank was really chickenshit.

What about when all the democrats we calling Bush all kinds of crazy stuff??? I didn't see anyone going to bat for him. We all know "what's good for the goose is not good for the gander". Obama is taking his bat, ball, and bases home cause no one wants to play by his rules........
