Teams passed on Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson, there may be a chance. I’m sure Justin Fields success in college compared to the pros might scare some GM’s away from JD, just hope the saints are not stupid enough to pass on him. Oh wait …

We could end up in the top 7 to 9 range if things fall the right way. Hopefully we lose the next 2 to help make it happen.

Yeah unless we land inside the top 7, which is unlikely, I don’t see how we have the ammo to move up to get Daniels. And you’d have to because the Commanders and Pats are def going QB. If Daniels somehow fell past those teams (he won’t) then he certainly wouldn’t make it past the Giants at 5.
Saving our picks may not end up being a bad thing, even if it means we don’t get a QB this year. What we should hope for is that we end up leapfrogging the Jets and we end up with the 8 or 9 and only one of the top tackles goes to the Titans at 7. We desperately need Alt or Fashanu. If we end up with the 10-12 pick, we should probably go Turner or Latu at edge but both Fashanu and Alt are some of the better LT prospects we’ve had in a while. It would be nice to nail one of them. Its a lot harder to nail a LT pick than a RT and we could potentially need both in the next couple of years

Also, I love Edgerrin Cooper and we’re gonna need a Demario replacement very soon. He’s already lost a step and next year his contract is up and he’ll be 35. Werner is a solid player but he’s fine where he is at WLB. I don’t think he’d excel at Mike.
I’d love Cooper in the early second. Especially now that the Broncos probably lose out now than they’re sitting Russ. Cooper is big, fast and has the traits to be an all arounder like Fred Warner.
