re: Grade the Saints Off-season So Far

I give it a C. The first two picks were solid and will be good players but cost us 5 picks total.
The draft will suck next year with no first.

They had tons of good talent on the board in the 2nd and we reached. If they wanted that guy they should have traded down some and recouped those picks. That would have been the smart play. Pats traded up with the very next pick. We could have got an extra 5th rounder and moved back into the 4th using that at least. Or moved down more and picked a 3rd back up.

It’s just another one of those ‘we are smarter than you’ picks by the front office. Seen it many times like over the years. Like the rick Leonard pick.
