Who are you arguing with? No one doubts that Brady has had a better career
Brady is great. He has had a great career. He has won more games than Drew Brees.
I still don't understand his point.

Uhhh the guy that said prove it definitely disagreed.

Why?

I've stated my point numerous times. Brees is great and all. But if we just "restructure" next year like you all say we should, then we def won't win a Super Bowl this year. And he's the highest paid player on the team. The article skews numbers to bring about a biased point. The original point of the thread was that it wasn't his fault we had cap trouble. And that's not true in the least.

Because our offensive line has holes and rob Ryan does a great job of disguising holes on defense, but we struggle against elite teams.

Elite teams wouldn't be elite if other teams didn't struggle against them.

El oh el. Wouldn't be the end to let a hall of game QB walk.

He has better career stats, more wins, more Super Bowls? Idiot
oh let's double check your facts, shall we?
Comp% - Brees 65.9 Brady 63.4 BREES
Yards - Brees 51,081 Brady 49,149 BREES
YPT - Brees 7.5 Brady 7.5 TIE
Yds/Gm - Brees 274.6 Brady 254.7 BREES
TD - Brees 363 Brady 359 BREES
oh man, these facts aren't looking good for you. let's keep going
INT - Brees 177 Brady 134 BRADY
20+ - Brees 639 Brady 600 BREES
40+ - Brees 125 Bradu 110 BREES
RTG - Brees 95.3 Brady 95.7 BRADY
since 2006 (Brees with Saints) their RTGs are Brees 99.2 and Brady 98.5. Last year Brees was 104.7 and Brady 87.3. Dayum! NE got ripped off, bro!
By my total count, we have Brees with 6 statistical wins and Brady with 2 (one, the RTG, with a very slight edge and that's counting Brees' rough beginnings in SD).
Don't you just hate when facts prove you wrong? Yeah... now here's a red ball. Go play

We're actually very very good against the elite teams outside of Seattle. Saints come to play in the primetime fool

What does that have to do with Drew Brees' cap number? We don't have "holes" in the OL. First of all, FA isn't even close to being over, and the draft hasn't even happened yet.
And our Defense has some pretty damn good talent in it. I wouldn't say there is a lot of disguising going on.
Next of all, your point was Brady. Brady did EXACTLY what Drew Brees did and is going to do. He got a HUGE contract, played on it, then restructured when that was beneficial to the team. That is exactly what is going to happen.
No elite QB is EVER going to take a pay cut while still elite. Brady DID NOT TAKE A PAYCUT. It was restructured in a way to allow for a lower cap number. That's what the Saints will do. When Brady is released or retires, they will be pushing some dead money forward, just like we will do.
That's how it works.
For every team that wins with a Wilson or Kaep, there are 5 that suck for multiple years before finding a QB, if they ever do.
Once you have the sure thing, you hold on as long as possible. You take the guarantee. ALWAYS.
Anything else is idiotic hindsight. You can not like how much QBs get paid, but tough shite. That's reality.

Attempts?
Td/int and rating are the most important. He still has more wins and Super Bowls.

cap problems? That comes from players that don't produce up to their cap hit. Brees didn't make the Top 10 overvalued at $17.4mil last year.
HERE were the cap problems from last year-
1. Jabari Greer, Cornerback*
Greer was having a slightly down season when he was injured nine snaps into Week 11. Through that game, he had allowed more than 15 yards per reception and three touchdowns, countered with six pass defenses and an interception so his coverage grade wasn’t too bad at -3.0; more than 40 corners finished the season with a worse grade. However, combined with injury and a $5.4 million cap number, the value wasn’t there and clearly the team felt similarly when they released Greer earlier this offseason.
2013 Cap Hit: $5.4m
2013 Performance Based Value: $970k
Value Differential: -$4.5m
2. Vilma -$3.7m
3. Malcolm Jenkins -$3.1m
4. Lance Moore, WR – Cap: $4.6m, JVM: $1.6m, Value Differential: -$3.0m
5. Roman Harper, S* – Cap: $3.6m, JVM: $825k, Value Differential: -$2.8m
6. Curtis Lofton, LB – Cap: $3.1m, JVM: $700k, Value Differential: -$2.4m
7. Jahri Evans, RG – Cap: $6.7m, JVM: $4.4m, Value Differential: -$2.3m
8. Garrett Hartley, K – Cap: $2.8m, JVM: $612k, Value Differential: -$2.2m
9. Patrick Robinson, CB* - Cap: $2.2m, JVM: $76k, Value Differential: -$2.1m
10. David Hawthorne, LB – Cap: $2.5m, JVM: $700k, Value Differential: -$1.8m
Summary – Team Value Differential: +$21.2m
coincidentally now gone

And then those QBs got paid. We won a SB with a QB making less than he was worth. And then he got paid.
You're suggesting that a team should find an elite QB every 5 years. Never re-sign them, and constantly move on to the next one. Is that your plan?

Did you not see the facts that state Brees has a better rating than Brady since 2006 and especially this past season? Super Bowls are defined by a team, not one player. Of the two, who won the most recent SB? Brady hasn't won one since 2004. I guess NE overpaid him based on his past performances. Stupid NE
