We might lose him without getting Tate. Do what you can to get both.
You still can restructure Cam, Larry, and TA. Releasing Meredith gets you 4 mil as well.

Why would we get cook and eifert? If we get cook we should just roll with the wrs we have. Two young guys who can take the next step and a healthy Meredith with MT and Ginn isn’t a bad place to be in at all if we have cook. Now, if we do go after a wr like Tate, I wouldn’t mind giving a 1 year contract to eifert that’s highly incentivized since we won’t be able to afford cook with the rest of the needs we still have to fill.
I believe the only way we go after Tate is if they don’t think Meredith will ever get back to how he was and they decide they want to cut ties. But getting both cook and eifert makes no sense.

I don’t think Eifert is getting guaranteed money this go round.
With a 3 TE rotation we could limit his snaps and have insurance for injury at the position.
