Fun Facts after Week 15's win

- Saints are 10-4 leading the division (hold tiebreaker over Panthers), last time they were 10-4 was also week 15 of 2013 where they lost to the 7-9 Rams. That same week, Carolina beat the 8-8 NYJ to become 10-4. Week 17 for Carolina was a matchup vs Atlanta, New Orleans was a matchup vs TB. We know how that worked out.
Offensively,
- Drew Brees is currently completing 71.76% of his passes (343/478), having a hold on Bradford's record last year where he completed 71.56% (395/552). Unlike Bradford who had 7.02YPA, Brees has 8.06 YPA which is 2nd in the league (#1 - Brady 8.07). Brees also has a 104.0 Passer Rating, T-2nd (Brady) in the league. #1 is Alex Smith @105.4.
- Michael Thomas is off to a hot start to his career. He officially has 2 1000 yard seasons to start his career. Last Saint to start his career like that?? Marques Colston. Thomas also currently has 186 catches, 3rd most in the first 2 years of a player's career. 2nd place?? OBJ @ 187. 1st place?? Jarvis Landry @ 194.
- Mark Ingram is the first RB in the CSP era and first since Deuce in 2003 and 2004 to have back to back 1000 yard rushing seasons. He also has 1420 scrimmage yards on the year which would be the most by a CSP era RB and is 80 yards short of the "1500" marker of part 1 of the duo. His 5.12 YPC is also best among all RBs with 200+ carries. Last year, he carried it 205 times for 1043 yards and this year he is at 204 times for 1045. That makes him the most efficient back of the last 2 years: 409 carries, 2088 yards, 5.1 YPC with the RBs closest to that is Howard (497, 2382 yards, 4.8 YPC) and Elliott (513, 2414 yards, 4.7 YPC).
- Alvin Kamara is currently at 6.59 YPC which is the most for a RB with 80+ carries since 2011's Darren Sproles' 6.93 YPC. He also has 1336 scrimmage yards on the year, 164 yards short of the "1500" marker for part 2 of the duo.
Defensively,
- Cameron Jordan has acquired the rare triple double with 4 PDs that game. He now has 10 sacks, 14 TFL, 11 PDs. The first since JJ Watt in 2014.
- Craig Robertson was an UDFA in 2011 and was given a future contract by Cleveland in December. Oh, that was a backstory...he had a weird INT vs the NYJ, what makes it significant though? He's had an INT in EVERY season he's officially played. Not bad for some UDFA from Stafford Texas. (FYI, even Wagner and David don't have an INT per year!)
- Marshon Lattimore has 4 INTs, the most since Keenan Lewis in 2013. I also believe that is the most by a Saints rookie ever.
- Kenny Vaccaro has a 35.8 PFF rating, 116th among all CBs. Practice Squad CB, De'Vante Harris has a 37.0 Rating by comparison. Among the DBs who have started for us this year, Vaccaro is by far the lowest. Lattimore 91.6, Marcus Williams 82.8, Crawley 80.7, PJ Williams 75.0, Bell 70.2, Bush 56.6, and Harris 73.3.

A team with a good tight end is going to give the Saints some trouble with Vaccaro covering. He just doesn’t seem very skilled in coverage. He gets beat, holds, or interferes just about every pass play he’s involved in.

A fine thread, and one you should feel good about.

I would think we would have Marcus Williams covering a pass catching TE.
Also, to the OP, fine thread indeed.

From past games, Vaccaro is the one I’ve seen chasing the tight end around. I’ve noticed Williams as the one playing deeper and covering over the top. But you may be right.

I remember when I was slightly uneasy about KV leaving after this season.

He would probably stay deep but PJ Williams may be a good option to cover a TE
