For the first time in my life I think I actually want the Saints to lose

I know I’ll get downvoted but losing is what’s best for this franchise. The only way we get rid of Allen is to lose the rest of our games. I want this team to be successful but we will never be that with him at the wheel. Great guy and DC but terrible head coach.

It doesn’t matter. We don’t have a first round pick.

Don’t care about the pick I care about the coach. But if you did care about the pick wouldn’t you want as high of a 2nd round pick as possible?

This is stupid because Allen is not getting fired this season unless there is a top-notch coach already waiting to come here. If there is, then Allen is gone, at least as HC, win or lose.

There is a hall of fame coach available. Maybe you’ve heard of him

Them losing ain't gonna change anything up top. Just gonna make the Eagles pick richer.

Available and interested are two different things. And if he is interested, DA winning out is irrelevant.

He’s obviously interested. Jeff Duncan doesn’t report what he did unless it came from Sean’s mouth himself.

Here is what he reported specifically saying it did not come from Payton's mouth but rather from the anonymous "person close to Sean Payton".

People close to Sean Payton think he's going to coach in 2023. I asked one of them to rank where he'd most likely coach. He listed the Saints No. 1.

Of course he’s not going to say he spoke directly to Sean. And if it wasn’t Sean it was Don Yee who is both Sean and Brady’s agent but I’d get anything it was Sean himself. Make no mistake Sean would prefer one of the LA jobs but if neither come available then his relationship with ownership and the front office is exactly what he wants in a team. I think he just got burnt out and wanted a break with his new wife but now he misses coaching and wants back in. Dallas isn’t going to be an option and he’s not going to Carolina or Arizona so the Saints are the obvious choice if McVay doesn’t retire and Staley doesn’t get canned for the Chargers.
