I thought the saints benefited from several calls, but the game was called better than TNF. It felt like a make-up game to me.

I didn't closely watch the TNF game and my comments on the Christmas Eve game are based on that game and that game alone. I don't agree that there are "make-up" games in the NFL -- come on, you're a sensible person, you don't either, once you think about how the NFL would actually engineer a "make-up game".

Funny. I can spin everything you said and repeat it for game 1. This is all moot though.

Falcons won game 1.
Saints won game 2.

Nothing we argue about will change either of those facts.

Agreed, somewhat. What was the flag diff. For 1st game?
Saints: 11
Falcons: 6
Or something.

Then 2nd was like...
Saints: 3 (0 in whole 1st half, laughable)
Falcons: 10
Or something close to that.

Both games were called unevenly just based on that number alone. Saints were middle of the NFL with 6.5xx penalties a game before Falcons game. Then they miraculously had 0 penalties in 1st half? 1 through 3 qtrs and then 2 more at the end of game for a total of 3?! Sorry, not buying it.

The timing of those flags though. 9 first downs on some really ticky tack shite, Taking pts off the board, etc

As for make up games, years ago I would have agreed. Now though, with the ratings slump, and the network money, a saints win in game 1 changes the complexity of the playoff race completely. The NFL wants week 16-17 to matter for ratings.

OK, go ahead and "spin" it, Smartguy. Or are you on this board just to Troll? I'll beat your arse in an argument about this, so, fire away.

bullshite, this thread is about the Morelli game. Don't try to obfuscate and hide by talking about the 7 December game.

Focus, son, focus.

Have our Resident Falcons Fans all run away to hide from the debate?

Come back. I will beat your arse in this debate about the officiating in the Morelli Game.

Come back and fight or don't ever show your ugly faces on this Saints board again.

Calm down, my child. I was spending time with my family and enjoying life. Sounds like you were... well... doing the opposite.

What do you want to argue about again? I really don’t care. Saints and falcons went 1-1 this season.
Falcons must win to get to the playoffs. Pretty much end of story. Why you so angry broseph Stalin?

The beauty of this is that Moreli was the head official for the Saints - Vikings NFC championship game. Mention his name to Vikings fans all these years later and they still have frothing at the mouth fits.

bullshite, you're a troll. Everybody is spending time with family and enjoying life. That isn't stopping the Falcons fans from whining about the Morelli Game.

I'm here to crush any and all Falcons fans that come on this board to whine about the officiating in the Morelli Game and only the Morelli Game, played on Christmas Eve.

Now then, lay it out for us -- lay out your arguments and complaints about the officiating in the Morelli Game. Either do that or proclaim that the Falcons Fanbase is exaggerating and stretching the truth, in other words, either argue it here or admit that your fanbase is wrong about the Morelli Game.

You people came to this Saints board to complain about Morelli so I responded with a Challenge to either debate it or shut up about it.

That is the Challenge. The gauntlet is thrown at your pigeon-toed feet.

He's a troll coward. He only comes around here to gloat and troll.

When he is Challenged in Manly and Saintly Combat, he shirks away like a frightened bird.

COME AT ME, DOUBLE DOWN!! I AM CLOTHED IN THE SAINTLY ARMOR OF BILLY KILMER, DANNY ABRAMOWICZ AND DEUCE MCALLISTER !

Saint Buddy Diliberto is my Saintly Spiritual Protector. And incidentally, in Heaven, Buddy's elocution and articulation of the English language are SPECTACULAR! In fact, he has something like one of those posh English accents up there in Heaven.

Nice to see y’all on our board....
We’re called “lurkers” if we visit y’all!

I’m not sure about the call (I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt) but I think it’s another horrible rule in the NFL.
If it’s interference it should be called weather you can catch it or not.
They don’t pick up a holding flag if it’s uncatchable!
Just my opinion.
