ESPN top 10 prediction.

Saints were not on the list. Will we make it to the playoffs next year? Brees will most likely not be here. Opinions?

Not surprising. 99% chance Brees retires, and the next QB is unknown. And, they all see the Saints are about $75M over the cap, so could be facing a major roster turnover. That much uncertainty, it would be difficult to consider them a playoff team right now.

Assuming San Fran gets healthy again there are 4 playoff level teams out west. Who knows how much Chicago could improve with a better QB. Saints need to be better than 2 of the above teams to make a wild card cut minimum.

There’s just no telling who we will be able to keep because of the cap at this point. If Winston is the Qb and we can manage to retain the majority of playmakers that are up for a contract I think we have a decent chance of making the playoffs. If it’s Taysom I think 7-9 is the ceiling

ESPN listed the Saints as 13th overall, but that was with 7 AFC teams ahead of them.

Most Vegas books have us around the 5-8 best odds to win it all next year. I trust their predictions much more than ESPN.

Neither Hill or Winston will get us to the playoffs. Both are backups at best. Out of the 2, I would take my chances with Hill. We need to get a QB quickly.
