Yeah but he's white and white receivers don't make it round here

You would do that anyway....don't play like you trying to take one for the team.
So? And don't act like you wouldn't want in.

Pshh I'm just looking for any reason to have him in the same city with me.
Uhh I meant Jessie in the same city.

Depends on asking price, which I think will be too much to be worth it.
Maybe if we get him for $4 mil per for 2-3 years. Anymore is pushing it.

Decker for 4m per would be a steal
He's extremely productive

Yup, which is why I highly doubt we'd get him.
Unless we do some "2-3" year deal that's really a one year like with Fairley and several others in the past.
I just don't know if we could afford to invest that much more into offense when we might be better served to roll the cap to try to resign Brees next year and target defensive FAs.

Sign Decker and this offense will be simply retarded.

What does the cap situation look like before signing draft picks?
Posted on 4/30/17 at 4:49 pm to SuperSoakher
Currently $7 mil under with another $7.8 mil coming June 1st from Byrd.
The draft picks cost about $4 mil effective cap iirc (replacing players in the top 51).
We need another mil for the 52nd and 53rd players when they start counting, plus some change for the PS (under a mil iirc).
We need to roll as much as possible forward to attempt to resign Brees plus have room for FAs.

As for important FAs next year:
RFAs
Breaux
Snead
Coleman
These guys will all have very low cost. Breaux and Snead likely receive the second round tender, but Coleman may get the original round tender unless he balls out.
Big Money UFAs
Brees
Vaccaro
Ellerbe
Daniel
These are the guys that will eat cap, but we have the room to easily afford them. We may have drafted Ellerbe's replacement though.
Cheaper UFAs
Khun
Okafor
Kelemete
Moore
Bush
These guys should all come cheap if we want them back, unless Okafor balls out.

Eric Decker is a fricking touchdown machine

Eric Decker has great length and girth.

Puts up great numbers in fantasy. Doesn't drop many. Bree's would make him great.

Rumblings he might be expendable now because of the Jets draft.
with Marshall gone.. they need a veteran WR to take charge. I guess their QB situation is a dirty toilet bowl but even so.. give him a proven player to work with at least.
That would be the shite if they cut him and we got'em though
