I had this conversation with some buddies and the conclusion we came to is:

White kids play football in equal numbers as black kids in HS and then they are vetted based on skill and athleticism to go play in college. They are then vetted again when trying to get drafted into the NFL. There is enough evidence by going through 2 fairly extreme vetting processes by the time they get to the pros that one can quantifiably say that the players that make it to the league are the best at what they do.

Coaching on the other hand is more indirect so its not as easy to say one coach is definitively better than another especially when the two coaches in question have never been a HC before.

The biggest piece of evidence we would have to say that White people are better coaches is that white coaches win the majority of championships at every level. The counterpoint would be that white coaches win because black coaches aren't given the same number of opportunities.

Long story short, the evidence that white guys are better coaches is tainted by the fact that its the exact subject that is being refuted.

A better example of this double standard is the QB position. Why is it not racist that there hasn't been a single white CB (to my knowledge) in the NFL since Jason Seahorn but it is racist that most QBs are white?

Its clear to the untrained eye that black people are more athletic so they are better at CB and thats a fact which is not racist. Why is it not possible that white people are just better at throwing the ball accurately under duress?
