I know I’ve seen a lot compare him to Colston, but imo he’s quicker and smoother than Colston...

He reminds me of Brandon Lafell. They have almost the exact same measurables, smooth route runners, and catch the ball with their hands.

maybe so, but Colston didn't drop 5 yard curl routes on 3rd down when he was trying to make the squad either....

Butler, while he did make some great grabs tonight, needs to be consistent.... so far, from what we've seen in live game action, 2 great grabs, 2 bad drops... granted, i think his potential is very high, and no one else in that 2nd tier WR group is really out peforming him, so i do think he'll end up making the team, but he's gotta clean up those drops...

Agreed. Prime Colston was the tits.

Now, Butler... Thinking he makes the team, and puts up very respectable numbers. I doubt they'll compare to Colston's because Mike Thomas is the go to guy.

Thomas is Thomas
Humphrey is Colston
Butler is Moore with height
Ginn is Henderson
Kirkwood is Meachem
Trequan is Snead
Deonte is Tommylee but better

I wouldn't cut any of these guys i think all 7 could contribute.

Emmanuel Butler is AJ Green without the injuries, Josh Gordon without the drug problem, Rae Carruth without the murdering problem, Danny Abramowicz with speed, Steve Smith with height and Larry Fitz but with a good QB.
